Day 9 - begins at sundown Tuesday Aug 13
You have probably heard the phrase "us four and no more" which speaks of a group that is happy with zero population growth, in fact adding a single new person would ruin the delicate balance.
We have eight core members in our intercessor squad.
These eight guys have come faithfully every week some for years.
We have desired to join with others, some of our squad have visited the Potter's House of Prayer and First Love and we have others who come and join us from time to time.
But the reality is that our core has stayed around eight to ten, although a squad can have as many as fourteen. While we think that is great, we also see and pray into the greater picture.
We desire that God would raise up from every clan (gathering) intercessors, men and women who would take the Kingdom by forceful prayer.

While some world religions promote physical violence, the bible promotes a violent posture towards spiritual powers that have set themselves in opposition against the knowledge of God. This attitude of offensive warfare is the thing that the gates of Hell cannot withstand.
I stopped by New Creation World Outreach at 6:30 PM to share with their leaders our vision for the forty days of intercession for Healing and Reconciliation and for our plans to visit to the Head Waters of the Blue Earth River on Thursday evening - September 5th.
Partly because of the focus of forceful prayer that this congregation carries.
Partly because I felt like this is bigger than us eight and that's great.
Partly because Stephen had asked Phil H. if seven churches from Mankato were represented in this endeavor...
When I walked in, I walked in on a prayer meeting!
What I discovered was literature that indicated that they had begun 21 days of prayer and fasting and that their 21 days overlap with our 40 days and that they are contending for some of the same things we are praying for. I was pleasantly surprised by the correlation. I left David with our blog address and communicated a desire to get together to compare notes.
They are praying for......wait for it......

We always knew there are others out there praying for this region and we knew that these brothers in particular are committed to prayer over this region they have created a place of prayer crucial to this city.
