EXTREME MAKEOVER - SIX ESSENTIALS

What would it look like in the Spirit, if we took this passage literally, and clothed ourselves in let's say for example compassion?   I prayed out of Colossians 3 this morning and as I prayed this passage, I caught a glimpse of a spiritual fashion show...  All the creative world was gathered to see the NEW Fall Collection, there was some skeptics among the crowd. Many thought they would not see anything new, after all, the Christian line of designs, has been discussed for centuries. How would this year be any different? Down the runway walked the first model, the announcer said, "God is displaying his new fall collection, for all of us today, we are excited to see the new things He has put together for us today, First we have the handsome Christian wearing a complete outfit of compassion , can you feel it. Yes, we can feel it, what a great start to the fall line up. Next came Saint Christopher wearing a stunning hounds-tooth jacket woven from the finest im

GO BIG OR GO HOME! -

There is a popular phrase in the pop culture of these days, "Go Big or Go Home" Solomon and the sons of Israel took this phrase and applied it to worship in 2 Chronicles 5. We pick up the story just before the dedication celebration of Solomon's temple. You may want to take a minute and go read that chapter now, begin looking for extravagant dimensions to worship. You may remember that Solomon asked the Lord (in a dream) for a wise and discerning heart and it was given to him. And with that wise and discerning heart, He determined how to properly worship the Lord, when it should be done and even in the construction of the temple, Solomon embodies the phrase Go BIG or Go Home.  This is a story of extravagant worship on a scale we just don't comprehend,  And all the men of Israel came together to the king at the time of the festival of the seventh month . 2 Chronicles 5:3  When Solomon was dedicating the temple he dedicated it during the festival of the

JUST 10 DAYS AFTER

SPRING FEASTS The Lord set up three festivals in the spring. When Jesus was walking on the earth,  during his first advent,  he fulfilled every detail of all three spring festivals. Passover - He is our Passover Lamb  Feast of Unleavened Bread - He is our sinless Messiah, the unleavened bread come down from heaven  Wave Sheaf - (Barley First Fruits) - He is the first fruits of the bodily resurrected from the dead  FALL FEASTS The Lord also set up three fall festivals. When Jesus  comes again He will fulfill all three of the fall festivals in every detail.  Trumpets - "the final trump will sound and time will be no more" Yom Kippur - Atonement the blood is sprinkled on the mercy seat Tabernacles - We are his people He is our God and we live together like the days of the Garden, East of Eden.  In between these two groups of three, is a solitary Festival that falls just 50 days after  the feast of the Wave Sheaf offering.  Jesus Ascends -  10 Days  - H

FREE FOOD... BUT HURRY, THE CLOCK IS TICKING.

If you read my last post,  then you know where I was emotionally, when I was asked to lead prayer recently at Potters House of Prayer. If not, then you might want to read that post before you go ahead and read this one.  I was asked to lead prayer and I hesitated... the prayer topic of the morning was revival, and the Church. As I was preparing, gathering my thoughts to lead the session, I saw a picture of a reality TV show,  in my mind's eye.  Please read it through until the end, I trust it will all make sense... You may remember a TV show like Supermarket Sweep where the contestants were given an empty grocery cart and a short amount of time to fill their cart with anything and everything they wanted, all the groceries were free, as long as they were all in the cart before the buzzer sounded.  Each contestant would race through the store grabbing whatever they valued most. Steaks, seafood, lots of meat, wine, the list goes on and on. The person who had the highest value of

TRASH TALKING

Yesterday, I was asked to lead prayer at PHOP and I hesitated, for a few seconds, before saying yes, because I had been hearing the accusations of the enemy, earlier in the morning, while getting ready to go out the door.  You know the accusations the enemy brings. The Scripture says, they are common to man. This morning mine were about not measuring up, not being acceptable to God, not being significant, not being everything I was meant to be, blah blah blah... it went on for a while before I realized it was an attack.  The specific accusation that got my attention this morning was that I could not hear the Holy Spirit like I had in times past.  Especially the way I experienced Him in everyday life right after I was first saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. For a season of time I experienced the supernatural presence all day on a daily basis.  Of course once suggested, there was a procession of small bits of evidence paraded before my mind, in order to convince me that
