Happy Hanukkah – Light Prevails over Darkness

Image
Hanukkah – The Festival of Lights - While Hanukkah is not one of the official Feasts of the Lord –  It does commemorate a Miracle, a supernatural act of God to re-dedicate, restore and cleanse His temple.   I share it here because it can reveal God’s power over the ‘spirit of the age’ for the times we are living in.  By looking back at this supernatural intervention of God to keep the lights burning in the Holy Temple, He confronted and overcame a wicked ‘Madman’ who was determined to destroy God’s people and desecrate the dwelling place of the Living God. Think of this, today there is no earthly temple in Jerusalem, Scripture says, your body is his temple.  So if He was to restore the temple today that illumination and restoration would take place within you.  We can find a parallel to Hanukkah the Festival of the Lamps in Matthew 24 - Jesus tells a story about 10 virgins, the one thing that separates the foolish virgins from the wise was having enough oil to keep the lamps to stay b

YOM KIPPUR = IN THAT DAY

Image
THE PHRASE "In that day" appears 108 times in Scripture. It appears (100) times in the Old Testament and (8) times in the New Testament It appears throughout the book of Isaiah foretelling of the ultimate fulfillment of Yom Kippur in the last days on the prophetic timeline of redemption. Isaiah uses the phrase 'in that day (44) times spanning across 50 chapters, from 2-52. Although he doesn't use the phrase 'in that day' in chapter 58 it is still about the Day of Atonement. It was the only required fast day of the entire year.  Is this the kind of fast I have chosen,  only a day for people to humble themselves? Is it only for bowing one’s head like a reed  and for lying in sackcloth and ashes? Is that what you call a fast,  a day acceptable to the  Lord ? Isaiah 58:5 It appears that in one sense the entire book of Isaiah was prophesying about the final days on the earth as portrayed in the Fall Feasts.   1. Trumpets -  2. Yom Kippur - Day of Atonement - 44 t

WHAT WILL HAPPEN 'IN THAT DAY'?

Image
Isaiah the prophet invested at least the first 58 chapters of his 66 chapter book by prophesying about the Day of Atonement. Starting in Isaiah chapter 2 verse 11 and continuing until the end of Chapter 58.  The phrase "in that day" is used 44 times in the book of Isaiah. In the Hebrew language, this phrase refers specifically to the Day of Atonement, not simply the annual observation of this Holiest of Holy Days, but it refers to the Prophetic Fulfillment which will come to pass in the last days.  The SPRING FEASTS prophetically foretold of Messiah's first coming,  and they were all fulfilled by Jesus Christ in His first coming. We can prove this from the Scriptures with the words and actions of Jesus recorded in the gospels. With references that specifically say this was done so that the prophecy would be fulfilled. With that understanding as a backdrop, those of us alive today should be pressing into understanding the FALL FEASTS because... The  FALL FEASTS will also

JESUS IS GOING TO GET HIS FULL INHERITANCE

Image
The Day of Atonement looks forward prophetically to that day when Jesus ultimately receives His full inheritance, the Nations. In the beginning, the first Adam was given dominion over the whole earth, and Jesus, because He was born of a woman, born under the law, He qualifies as the only sinless 'son' of Adam. Qualified to become the Great King of the whole Earth, Including being given authority/ruling over all nations. He will be crowned the Kings of earthly kings, and the Lord of all temporal lords.  The Feast of Trumpets (10 days earlier) looks forward to the day that Jesus will be crowned as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords but the Day of Atonement is the day He opens His courts for judgment of the Nations.  As the judge of the nations, The 'Sheep' Nations he will set on his right, and the 'Goat' nations he will set on His left. ‘Ask it of Me, and I will certainly give the nations as Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth as Your possession.  Psalm 2:8

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN - THE DAYS OF AWE!

Image
Last time I suggested that you might take one of the ten commandments for each day of the ten 'Days of Awe' from The Feast of Trumpets through the Day of Atonement. To use this as a guide in the self-examination process.  If you start with the tenth commandment and count down to the first commandment you will actually be raising the bar each day until you reach the final four by which even the nations will be judged. The first commandment is also the greatest commandment. Starting here we can count down to the Day of Atonement  10. You shall not covet your neighbor's goods 9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor 8. You shall not steal 7. You shall not commit adultery 6. You shall not murder 5. Honor your father and your mother THE FINAL FOUR - NATIONS WILL ALSO BE JUDGED BY THESE 4. Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy 3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain 2. You shall not make unto yourself any graven images 1. You shall have no

The HOLIEST of HOLY Days starts tonight - Are You Prepared?

Image
This, Holiest of Holy Days, each year was the only fast day that was required by the law. All the other sacred assemblies were feast days, not fast days.  This year that 24-hour fast starts at Sundown tonight on Wednesday, September 15, and runs until Sundown on Thursday, September 16. Isaiah 58 was referring specifically to Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) On this one day each year, the High Priest would go into the Holy of Holies and sprinkle the blood on the mercy seat. The nation stood anxiously waiting to see if the sacrifice was acceptable to Jehovah. They would tie a scarlet cord on the door handles of the temple (like the scarlet cord that Rahab used to lower the spies down outside the Jericho wall in the book of Joshua.) If the blood sacrifice was accepted by Jehovah then the scarlet cord tied to the door handles would turn pure white.  This miracle happened every year for centuries on the Day of Atonement when Israel was serving the Lord. IN ALL THESE THINGS... WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS

Image
IN ALL THESE THINGS... WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS... In what things? In all these things! There is so much turmoil on the earth right now, the United States of America as well as many other nations around the world are embroiled in a civil war of ideas.  The globalist, fascist, socialist, Marxist, and even communist human slavery ideologies have been thrust upon us through the media, entertainment, universities, and the government school system for many years.  Now it is also being pushed across all sectors of society, in the church and on the most vulnerable, our children, in grade school, and even in preschool.  Violence including assault and homicide has increased significantly in major cities across the United States.  Justice System Failure -  Mayors, city councils, and prosecutors who have given oaths to uphold the law are looking the other way, as people are being beaten to death, shot, and their businesses torched to the ground, by doing so these elected officials are endanger

WHO IS TO COME?

Image
WHO IS TO COME? Every year around this time of the Fall feasts, I try to share a little glimpse of my journey into the study of the Seven Feasts of the Lord.  I am not the first one or the last one to speak on these things. But as I was listening to a brother share this last week online, I gained a new perspective of looking at the correlation of the Fall Feasts to the Spring Feasts. Those of you who have heard me speak about the Spring Feasts, know that they were fulfilled naturally in every detail required in the law by Jesus the Christ as he walked on the Earth at his first coming. His fulfillment, however, was also born of the Spirit and therefore transcended the natural law, and fulfilled also all of the prophets who were proclaimed by the Spirit the Spiritual dimension of these Feasts. Some refer to this as the Greater Redemption a Spiritual redemption.  You might also remember that the Fall Feasts will also someday be fulfilled just as precisely by Jesus the Christ at his second

THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER

Image
Four hot dry months without a single Feast of the Lord!  There are four months without a single feast from The Feast of Shavuot, ('Weeks' or Pentecost) early in the third month until the 'Return' feasts of the seventh month.  If you have read any of my other posts about the Seven Feasts of the Lord you already know the Fall Feasts will be fulfilled by the Second coming of Christ or at Christ's return. And we can see this of course because looking back we can see that the Spring Feasts were fulfilled in great detail by Jesus during his first coming. The last Feast of Spring early in the third month celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit as another comforter, He will be with us right up until the return of Jesus the Christ some year at the Feast of Trumpets. So the Holy Spirit was sent to get us through the dog days of Summer! These four months (3,4,5,6) can be applied to the prophetic timeline of the 2,000 years or (4 x 500-year 'months') of the Church Age

50 YEAR RETROSPECT - LOOKING BACK AT 1971

Image
An upcoming Jubilee in 2021? A revival swept the USA and then moved from nation to nation until it encompassed the world it began in February of 1970. But it came out of the dark days of racial tension from 1968-1970 In Minnesota, it began in the fall of 1971. Here we stand 50 years later, and God is laying out a Jubilee for the Jesus People Movement. Prophesied by Cindy Jacobs at least 6 years ago May 2, 2014.   https://www.christianpost.com/voices/do-you-want-revolution-60s-70s-jesus-movement-then-now.html The Backdrop for Revival – when the enemy comes in, like a flood the Lord raises up a standard . The bigger the attack the greater the revival. The generations of the ’60s rejected traditional values and preferred to live life without restrictions. During that time there was also tremendous protest racial injustice, and the civil rights movement was instrumental in pointing out the destructive sin of racism. Political instability increased with the Cuban missile crisis.

REJOINING FATHERS AND THE NEXT GENERATION

Image
GOD IS REMOVING THE GENERATION GAP  In several weeks we will be entering the Month of Elul on the Biblical Calendar. August 9, - September 6, 2021, This entire month is part of a season called Teshuvah which literally means Return.  Isaiah 60 - speaks of a return and states the scope of this return. It is described as a return of sons and daughters, a return of wealth, a return of worship of the true God, and a return of His Glory on His church on the earth.  This glory is required to prepare the world for the soon return of Jesus Christ as He promised just before He ascended into Heaven.  Generally, we speak of repentance and soul searching during this last month of summer. But the emphasis should rather be a joyful looking forward to the promise of His coming and the preparation for that day of his return is to be completely filled with the oil (Matthew 24) representing the Holy Spirit. If we are then 'filled' with the oil (Holy Spirit) how is there any room for other things
