DAY - 24 MERCY? OR JUDGEMENT? ...YOU DECIDE!

Prayer Watch -  Day 24 - starts at sundown Wednesday


One of the foundation scriptures that the Lord has given us over the last five
years in this intercessory prayer group has to with “standing in the GAP.” This 
phrase is referring to a time of judgment in Israel where the Lord said the walls 
of protection around their city will be broken down and all the inhabitants will be 
taken captives as slaves to a foreign land.

MERCY 
“I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none. 
or JUDGEMENT 
So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger,
bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
Ezekiel 22.30, 31

The prophecy describes a day that all this calamity and devastation is coming on the people of Israel because of their sin and their turning away from God. Their spiritual protections were going to be broken down allowing the enemy to come in and literally break down the physical walls of protection surrounding the city. 

With all the prophetic words the Lord spoke through Ezekiel and other prophets, 
the Lord was still looking for a way TO BRING MERCY, not JUDGEMENT. 
He was looking for just one man, any man, who would intercede and “stand in the GAP” 
so He would not have to send judgment. And He found none, not one, not a single man willing to step in. 

David  S. told us on Day 21 that at the Prayer Summit here in Mankato the speaker said that only 4% of Americans born after 1984 even attend a church, and when a generation reaches 2% that generation is lost. 

He went on to say that the Lord was giving him Joel chapter 1 and 2. 
Gather the people, call for a fast, weep, mourn, and wail before the Lord. 
Repentance, turning to the Lord and intense intercession is needed 
where we feel by the Holy Spirit what God feels and take hold to partner 
with the Lord to see this generation turned. 

If God was looking for just one man stand in the GAP and turn back judgment in Israel what could happen if He found 10, 20, 30, 40, or even 100 intercessors to stand in the GAP for this land?   - Don M.

Mercy? or Judgement? 

Your opinion matters, because God, the Sovereign King of the universe, 
has chosen to partner with men of flesh and bones. 
He is seeking one man, any man... is He seeking you?
  •  Will He find you today?
  • Are you willing to stand in the gap? 
  • Will you take your place between the living and the dead?
  • Will you make intercession? 

Just say the word! 
God is waiting to hear what you have to say. 
Cry out for God to Stay His hand and offer MERCY instead of JUDGEMENT.

I WAS THERE, GOD DID THAT, AND 45 YEARS LATER I GOT THE HOODIE

This post is about my reoccurring connection to the Minnesota Miracle and how God has kept the dream alive for a revival in Minnesota that He wants to bring to birth.  October 1971 - Minnesota Miracle Seventeen years old and on my way to a weekend retreat at Camp Courage. There I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit on Friday night with many other young people. The rest of that weekend was supernatural, none of us (over 100 high school and college students) showed up at the dining hall to eat, many of us did not sleep, we sought the Lord continuously for three days from Friday evening until Sunday at Noon . God was present in a tangible way as the Spirit hovered over our camp. A WRINKLE IN TIME... another JESUS PEOPLE movement?

First the Natural...  The Jesus People Church in Minneapolis begun in 1972, came out of the REVIVAL meetings held 7 days a week for several weeks at Souls Harbor, Downtown Minneapolis in the fall of 1971.  Coincidentally, the congregation at the renewed Jesus People Church now in Rogers, MN set aside Friday, May 2, 2014, for a Jesus People Church Reunion.  They invited all those who were part of the Jesus People Church in Minneapolis during the 70s and 80s; as part of that congregation in the past, my wife and I received a personal invitation to attend. But we did not go the gala event at a ritzy hotel in Minneapolis. Then the Spiritual!  The same weekend, I also received a personal invitation for Saturday, 5/3/14 to hear Cindy Jacobs at the House Church at 2024 Rahn Road in Eagan, MN.
