9-19-2013 - CAN THESE BONES LIVE?

Every Thursday evening we gather for prayer and these are the things God has shared with us...
-------
Tonight there were two themes the first was perfect loves casts out fear and folks shared out of the gospel of John and the first epistle of John about love. The second theme was out of Ezekiel 37, can these dry bones live?

37 The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley;it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.
Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
“Son of man, can these bones live?”
We answered this question about each person or situation we prayed for.
And there were a good deal of situations in this process that continued from 7:30 - 9:00 PM
Then we declared over each of them Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!
Then we called for the breath of God to come and blow life into these situations.

Later Phil brought up a plan he has for carrying this out by taking the land.
He shared a teaching he received several years ago, about the meanings of the names of the 31 kings who needed to be removed before Israel could occupy the promised land.

“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord,“When the plowman shall overtake the reaper,And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it.
I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. Amos 9:12-14

The afterglow meeting starting about 9:30 PM
We talked about the importance of learning to follow the instructions given to the prophet in Habakkuk 2:2. ...    So that those who read it may run.

Whenever we hear God speak, it is critical to obey.
Many times that obedience is going to be walked out, over a period days, weeks, months, and even years.
Writing down what God has said, helps us to be accountable to others, as well as accountable to the word, even if walking it out takes several years.
Making it plain, however, may well determine whether we walk this out alone or among a company of believers.
