What do an abandoned Victorian farmhouse sitting on a hill, three bee hives, and an old woman sitting on the porch with a ball of yarn by her rocking chair have in common?
POTENTIAL!
The Victorian Farmhouse is stately, it stands at the top of the hill,
you can see it from a mile away. Even the faded and peeling white paint looks good from a distance. Yes, "she has good bones," as the restoration people would say, "Lots of potential!" But left to herself that potential will never be realized, she sits there waiting for someone to realize her potential. Yet all the while her potential diminishes with each year she is ignored. One day her bones will finally grow frail, she will fall down and will only be a memory. "That House had so much potential" people will say long after she is gone.
An old woman sits in her rocking chair on the porch, her gray hair pulled back into a bun, and her bright eyes and lined face, speak of years of history and wisdom. She looks out over her land, looking for anyone, who is ready to listen to her tell her story. One day the rocking chair will be empty, to be used no more, the ball of yarn unwound, at her passing everyone agrees. They say, "She was from good stock, she had some much wisdom, she was so full of potential."
Three classic wooden bee hives stand in formation, their rectangular cubes reflect the sun that beats down on the overgrown lawn. They represented so much potential for life. All the pieces are here, the structure, the drawers, they could hold thousands, maybe tens of thousands of lives in a profitable give and take of community. But where are all the worker bees? Where is the sweet nectar? Where is the life?
A little white church stands at a busy corner of the city, its steeple points toward heaven and looks as though it could pierce the sky. Its architecture matches the community surrounding it. Workers, students, children
parents, and priests pass under its shadow on their way to the places they go every day. It
was once at the heart of the community, it had so much potential to shape society. But now the windows are broken out and the doors are boarded up.
Where are all the people?

Where are all the people?
A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench;
Isaiah 42:3
Can you see the untapped potential?
What are you waiting for?
Go, Call them out into their destiny!
For the lost, their destiny is salvation.
For the saints, their destiny is fruitfulness.
Who is going to draw it out?

Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! John 4:34-36
2 Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. 3 Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves. Luke 10:2-3Look the fields are already white unto harvest, and there is so much potential.
Who is going to draw it out?
"Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest send forth laborers into the fields."
