In the last post, I covered the Fall Season - Impeachment
In the WINTER Season - COVID-19

I mentioned the Chinese Lunar New year in the last post and I have researched only a little so far but I found an interesting parallel or two to God's biblical Spring Feasts.

The Chinese Lunar New Year starts on the first new moon in January, This year it fell on Jan. 24th.

The Biblical year also starts on a new moon but 60 days later than the Chinese lunar new year. The bible says the first new moon after the Spring Equinox is the beginning of the year and this year it fell on March 24th.

The Chinese lunar New Year celebration covers a 14-day periodThe festivities traditionally begin with a thorough cleaning of the home.

The Hebrews observed the biblical new year by removing leaven from their houses over a 14 day period, from the new year to the 14th of Abib.

The Chinese lunar New Year celebration ends withthe Lantern Festival, Red lanterns with poetic sayings written on them.

In the biblical new year, the fourteen days end with the Day of Preparation on that day, the Red wine in the four cups of Passover is now a memorial of the Red blood of the 'sacrificial' lamb that was previously brushed on the door frames of their homes on the first Passover. It was also the day Jesus became the final Passover Lamb by giving his lifeblood to remove our sins.

The Biblical calendar was dictated by God to the Hebrews in the book of Leviticus. It says that the new year starts with the first new moon after the Spring Equinox. Then 14 days are set apart to clean the house thoroughly removing any leaven to prepare for the 15th day which begins the seven-day Feast of Unleavened Bread.

In the last post, I drew a parallel from Purim to Passover.. here is an excerpt from the book of Esther chapter 9, verses 19-22

Therefore the Jews of the villages who dwelt in the unwalled towns celebrated the fourteenth day of the month of Adar with gladness and feastingas a holiday, and for sending presents to one another.And Mordecai wrote these things and sent letters to all the Jews, near and far, who were in all the provinces of King Ahasuerus, to establish among them that they should celebrate yearly the fourteenth and fifteenth days of the month of Adar, as the days on which the Jews had rest from their enemies, as the month which was turned from sorrow to joy for them, and from mourning to a holiday; that they should make them days of feasting and joy, of sending presents to one another and gifts to the poor.
Hopefully, now you can see the parallel - they were 'toast'. But the "king" gave them power over their enemies and their mourning was turned into dancing and their fear was turned into boldness

Understanding the purpose hidden in the numbers is so important for the Spring of 2020! Let's take this picture and 'paint' by (the) number(s) for a moment.

Adar 13 and 14 there was a battle for survival but on the 15th they had rest from their enemies and they 'set a table' in the midst of their enemies.

Now let's look at the Feast of Passover -
Abib 13-14 Jesus battled for our survival and on the 15th, He had already won the victory for us. We now forever rest in the finished work of Christ on the cross. Psalm 23 - Our good shepherd - He has prepared for us a 'table' in the presence of our enemies. When He instituted the Lord's Supper by using the 'cup of redemption' during the Passover meal. And He has instructed us (as often as we do 'this') to do 'it' in remembrance of Him.

Yet this whole season with all of its various rituals was only a series of signs pointing to the fulfillment of the New Covenant Feasts by Jesus walking them out in every detail during his physical life as he established the transfer from the Old Covenant into the New Covenant.

Now I want to apply this to the Spring Season of 2020 - The Blood of the Lamb speaks a better WORD. He removes the deadly plague and keeps us in the midst of it. Along with Mercy and Comfort, he brings us out on the other side.

Mar 24th - Biblical New Year Abib 1 -
Mar. 26, The U.S. has more confirmed COVID-19 cases than any other country in the world!
Mar. 27 - The U.S.N.S. Mercy docked in L.A.
Mar. 30 - the U.S.N.S. Comfort arrived in NYC
Mar 30 - Central Park, NYC turned into a hospital
Mar 30 - Javitts Center turned into a Hospital

Apr 8 - 'Day of Preparation' Abib 14 - US Daily death rate dropped 15% in one day
April 9 - First Day Of the Feast of Unleavened Bread - a Holy Convocation
April 11 - Wave Sheaf - the promise of our bodily Ressurection to Immortality
April 15 - Seventh Day of Unleavened Bread (the keeping power of the Lord)

The Feast of Unleavened Bread is little understood.
Its importance is lost in all the rituals of Passion Week. But it holds perhaps the greatest promise of all, a promise of the keeping power of God, from this day until that day.

Here is the best part, not only did He deliver us... but He is keeping us

This first verse is interesting because it covers the entire wilderness season between our 'Exodus' from the world system through salvation all the way through the hot days of affliction during 'Summer" unto our standing before Him on that day when he returns.
Spiritual safety and security
"being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;"
Philipians 1:6
Like the Israelites, it is one thing to come out of Egypt and be set free from physical slavery or addictions, and external habits. It is quite another to trust God through the wilderness and continue to trust him when our past seems to be catching up with us. To trust Him without wavering, to take on our Giants (like the fear of death), and to gain victory over strongholds of unbelief in our thought territory. Can we trust Him as we see our frailty,  especially as we approach the Jordan river which represents Death?

Are we sure of our calling in God? Do we fear the raging torrents of the Jordan (death) that come in the spring flood season? The season of Passover?

Joshua*, and the priests approached the Jordan... when the priest's feet touched the waters the Jordan began to back away and stack up. (Joshua, Yeshua, Jesus - the names all mean the same thing the Lord Himself will save)

Let's read it together, I think you are going to like this.
So it was, when the people set out from their camp to cross over the Jordan, with the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people, and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest), that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan.
 The river of 'death' that flowed even overflowed its banks during the harvest season. The flow of 'death' (wages of generational sin) that came from upstream in our bloodlines was cut off (like the act of circumcision) and those death producing flows were removed and heaped up in a place far away even at a small place called Adam.

Let me say it another way;

When Yeshua, Jesus, as our high priest stepped into the flow of the river of death, on the day he was tried, beaten, accused, and finally crucified, the outflow of death was the wages of all of our sin. The 'death' that has flowed down from one man our ancestor (Adam) into every one of our bloodlines. The wages of our sin and our father's sin, and his father's sin, and his father's sin, were cut off once and for all time and it was removed from where we are to a faraway place. 'As far as the East is from the West'  removing it all the way to its place of origin, to the first man who committed the first sin the man called Adam.

If you have any fear about COVID 19 - or death in any way you need to reread the last paragraph.
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name; You are Mine.

When you pass through the waterswill be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. Isaiah 43:2
He who saved you at 'Passover' and 'baptized' you in the Red sea will completely 'keep' you in the wilderness of this life supplying your daily bread, that heavenly bread that sustains us, it comes down from heaven like the dew every day, quenching our hunger. Quenching our thirst by drawing water out of the Rock.
He is faithful and will bring you through the Jordan and out on the other side He will not let your body see corruption, but will resurrect your body and bring you into immortality and into eternal life at the time of his Feast of Trumpets.
Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand. Romans 14:4
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. John 10:27-29
