We had a good time of worship and singing, there were eight of us. We never got the worship songs started on the computer, we just gathered up front and sang two Christy Nockles songs. Before prayer, we sang a couple of new songs (new to us) that were written and performed by Christy Nockles and Chris Rice and a couple of NEW songs, as in spontaneous songs. the most Central song to the night seemed to be "Healing is in your Hands" by Christy Knockles and we prayed along that line each of us coming to an understanding that since healing is in our hands it is imperative that we ...

A WRINKLE IN TIME... another JESUS PEOPLE movement?

Image
First the Natural...  The Jesus People Church in Minneapolis begun in 1972, came out of the REVIVAL meetings held 7 days a week for several weeks at Souls Harbor, Downtown Minneapolis in the fall of 1971.  Coincidentally, the congregation at the renewed Jesus People Church now in Rogers, MN set aside Friday, May 2, 2014, for a Jesus People Church Reunion.  They invited all those who were part of the Jesus People Church in Minneapolis during the 70s and 80s; as part of that congregation in the past, my wife and I received a personal invitation to attend. But we did not go the gala event at a ritzy hotel in Minneapolis. Then the Spiritual!  The same weekend, I also received a personal invitation for Saturday, 5/3/14 to hear Cindy Jacobs at the House Church at 2024 Rahn Road in Eagan, MN. She prophesied that night "another Jesus People Movement" to come. As I sat in that "physical place where I had been one of the Jesus People church elders 25 years earl...

TNP - FIRE ANTS

Image
*** First Time Visitors *** Please go to the  First Time Visitors  tab or    go to  Thursday Night   tab   If you want to share what we are doing with a friend please direct them using the URL for that page. ============================ During the soaking worship last night, with my eyes closed I saw a picture of Andy sitting in the chair directly opposite me.  Even though at that time he was actually standing with hands raised near the back of the room and slightly to my left.    As I saw this picture of Andy, he would appear for a second as a ruby-colored version of himself and then as a ruby sculpture with his head bowed slightly, a picture of humility and timidity.  Seconds later, his face was alternating with what appeared to be the face of a red (fire) ant . (When I queried red ant to learn more Wikipedia redirected my search to Fire ant.) I would see ...

TNP - BECOME AN AUTHORIZED DISTRUBTOR...

Image
*** First Time Visitors *** Please go to the  First Time Visitors  tab or    go to  Thursday Night   tab   If you want to share what we are doing with a friend please direct them using the URL for that page. ============================ WE ARE AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTORS OF CHESED   (God's Loving Kindness) or favor. Yesterday, we discussed that God's loving kindness is better than life . Today we are talking about our being authorized to distribute freely God's loving kindness, to whomever we encounter in our life.   2 CORINTHIANS 5:18-21  Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,   that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were ple...

WHAT IS BETTER THAN LIFE?

Image
Your loving kindness is better than life. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness So says David Jesse-son * O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory.   Because Your loving kindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You.   Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.             Psalm 63:1-5 *David son of Jesse What did David know that we do not know?   As a culture we are chasing the fountain of youth, botox, face lifts, skin tucks, make up, dyed hair, on & on  it goes  and all of it is vanity.  We battle aging...

YOU CAN BREATH EASIER... LIFE IS A GIFT OF GOD

Image
LIFE ITSELF IS A GIFT OF GOD!  We do not often speak this out loud but the truth is:  LIFE itself is a gift...   The God in whose hand your next breath lies...have you not glorified? Daniel 5:23 We tend to recognize this more fully during our sunset years, or maybe IN OUR FINAL DAYS just before our life is over, unless we have had an experience of being close to death earlier in life, we just do not understand how precious life is until it is almost lost.  David had that near death experience many times while he was still a young man.  Knowing the king, who also happens to be your father-in-law, has assembled the armed forces and is hunting you down is a serious threat and David no doubt learned much through his suffering injustice at the hands of Saul.  Saul was his benefactor and the father of his first wife but became his judge, jury, and prosecutor. Because of jealousy Saul sought to take David's life and pur...

LOVESICK AND FAMISHED FOR LOVE!

Image
Here is the picture I saw of the lovesick maiden.  She stood with one hand on the railing of the widow's walk, staring out to sea, her eyes strained to see beyond the the misty fog lying over the surface of the inlet. I hesitate before using the word hunger, when describing her eyes, but the fact was, that her eyes were hungry.   I saw in them, devotion, a single desire to behold the face of her beloved.  It was all-consuming,  it was obsessive, like a starving man deprived of food, everything else is forgotten.  As a  parched soul, with  a swollen tongue does not desire the sweetest of drinks but simply yearns  for pure water.  My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. 2  So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory.   Psalm 63:1-2 As she stared toward the sea, she tipped her head slightly to the side a...
