12 Reasons You should Wait to Bring out your Nativity Scene.

Catholic Christmas Celebration Creates Confusion- 12 reasons You should wait to bring out your Nativity Scene.
Rabbi Jonathon Kahn shared 12 facts that point to Jesus' birthday happening on March 20, in the spring of 6 B.C.

And in the same region, there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

- NOT IN WINTER -
1. Jesus could not have been born in the winter... Shepherds were only 'out in the fields' with the sheep from March until the rainy season but never in winter. -Talmud
2. Shepherds were only out in the fields 'keeping watchby night during the short lambing season that occurs in the spring, from late February until early April. ( see a-e below)
3. Shepherds were up all night watching for the lamb's birth.
4. The angels announced His Birth to the shepherds in a way that only they could fully appreciate. "This will be a sign to you...you will find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manager."
a. Jesus was born in Bethlehem - where all the sacrificial lambs for the temple were raised.
b. He was wrapped swaddling clothes at birth - as were the lambs marked for the temple sacrifice.
c. He was placed in a manger at birth - as were the sacrificial lambs.
d. The swaddling clothes were made from the linen priestly garments
e. The shepherds to whom the angels came were personally raising sacrificial lambs.
f. Jesus was the son of David who was a shepherd is this same region who perhaps raised sacrificial lambs.

Jesus as the 'Lamb of God'...
  • He came WHEN the sacrificial lambs were born
  • He came WHERE the sacrificial lambs were born
  • Heaven's angels came to the shepherds WHO raised the sacrificial lambs.
- NOT IN THE FALL -
5. Jesus could not have been born in the fall during the Feast of Tabernacles as some suggest because:
a. Joseph was required to be physically present in Jerusalem during the High Holy Days
b. the Shepherds would not be out in the field by night in the fall.
c. Jesus' first coming was as the Passover lamb, Passover is in the spring, lambs come in spring.
6. The Passover lamb must be a yearling (must be born in a previous Passover season). Exodus 12
7. The Dead Sea Scrolls give us a calendar for the priestly divisions
8. Zacariaus was of the Abijah course of the priesthood at the temple during the 8th week of rotation*
9. Nisan 1, marks a change in the calendar, and Jesus' first coming changed the calendar from B.C. to A.D.
10. Documents found in the Vatican Vault - Document that the historian Hippotitanus originally placed Jesus' birth on December 25th, but later corrected his calculations and named Nisan 1 as the proper date. The Roman church censured his later findings, however, and promoted Dec 25th, in error.
11.  Isaiah 60 prophesied of the Persian Magi coming on camels, with gold and frankincense
12. The Stars announced his Birth -The convergence of Jupiter, Venus, and Mars, with the constellation Aries the Ram (Judea), happened on March 20, 6 B.C., and modern astronomists tell us this sign will not appear again for another 6,000 years.
