AND MAKE THEM JOYFUL... in My House of Prayer!
I was at the Potter's House of Prayer in the early morning sessions a few days ago and Max Thomas shared this out of Isaiah 56;
— Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrificesWill be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.
” The Lord God, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says,“Yet I will gather to him others besides those who are gathered to him.”This promise in its context is including Eunuchs (which were forbidden by the law) to serve in the house of the Lord. and the foreigners (who were uncircumcised) in the family of God.
Of course I was interested in reading it in my Bible as well...
But I only had my one year bible with me so I paged through looking for the proper day on which Isaiah 56 chapter would appear, and when I found it I was speechless, it was the reading for September 28. September 28 you might remember was the first Sunday after Rosh Hashanah, this year it was the same Sunday when we met in the little (library/pre-service prayer) room off the main sanctuary and were informed of the elders decision to shut down our Thursday night prayer group permanently.
Years ago, I heard a missionary to Vietnam and Cambodia, talking on the Christian radio station about how he would find wisdom and direction for each day from a structured approach to reading the entire bible.
He even told a story about one day when he had not taken time to read in the morning before heading out and finding himself laying flat on his back in the back of a pick up truck under sniper fire. So...He was ducking bullets and flipping through his Bible to find the daily reading passage and looking for Wisdom and direction for his current battle out of the daily structured reading. He laughed at himself and said, he found, it is much easier to get direction in the quiet of early morning prayer times, then it is laying down in the back of a pickup and dodging sniper bullets. But added God will speak in either place.

I had discovered earlier that according to the laws of God found in Exodus 21 that by postponing the announcement for just one week, the changing of the biblical year, triggered a legal condition to transition in Heaven. By placing it after Rosh Hashanah it moved it into the year of release, which makes the decision a declaration of release, from the charter/contracted agreement which was the legal basis for existence. In the year of release (Shemitah begun September 25, 2014 and ends September 13, 2015) all contracts are fulfilled.
But now it appeared that this specific date was also significant and also being revealed by God; so that we would see that on that day, He was declaring that His house was a house of prayer, and a place of joy for the outcasts. On the same exact day the congregational leaders were declaring the cessation of the prayer meeting within the house.
In case anybody wondered if we are going back to an old day, I would say God shut that door in a very effective way. What we must do now is ask God what to do and we need to honor the leadership even if they do not understand fully what we are about or comprehend the seasons of God.
