"God, Please Show Me Your Glory"

Image
We have many modern prophetic voices that are saying God is going to show us His Glory.   What can we expect to see when His Glory comes?  Will we find ourselves in unity with God or opposing God Himself when his glory comes?   To answer those questions...  Let's look at the encounter of Moses when he asked God to see His Glory. This eyewitness account is found in Exodus chapters 33 & 34 ”And Moses said, “Please, show me Your glory.” Exodus 33:17-18 What do you think Moses expected?   Well, what would you expect?  A bright light, with golden rays emanating from his being, a sparkling aura with some fog-like mist rising from the earth?  Let's look at Moses' eyewitness account you might be surprised at what He experienced during this encounter.   Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you , and I will proclaim the name of the L ORD before you.   I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I ...

Happy Hanukkah – Light Prevails over Darkness

Image
Hanukkah – The Festival of Lights - While Hanukkah is not one of the official Feasts of the Lord –  It does commemorate a Miracle, a supernatural act of God to re-dedicate, restore and cleanse His temple.   I share it here because it can reveal God’s power over the ‘spirit of the age’ for the times we are living in.  By looking back at this supernatural intervention of God to keep the lights burning in the Holy Temple, He confronted and overcame a wicked ‘Madman’ who was determined to destroy God’s people and desecrate the dwelling place of the Living God. Think of this, today there is no earthly temple in Jerusalem, Scripture says, your body is his temple.  So if He was to restore the temple today that illumination and restoration would take place within you.  We can find a parallel to Hanukkah the Festival of the Lamps in Matthew 24 - Jesus tells a story about 10 virgins, the one thing that separates the foolish virgins from the wise was having enough oil to ...

YOM KIPPUR = IN THAT DAY

Image
THE PHRASE "In that day" appears 108 times in Scripture. It appears (100) times in the Old Testament and (8) times in the New Testament It appears throughout the book of Isaiah foretelling of the ultimate fulfillment of Yom Kippur in the last days on the prophetic timeline of redemption. Isaiah uses the phrase 'in that day (44) times spanning across 50 chapters, from 2-52. Although he doesn't use the phrase 'in that day' in chapter 58 it is still about the Day of Atonement. It was the only required fast day of the entire year.  Is this the kind of fast I have chosen,  only a day for people to humble themselves? Is it only for bowing one’s head like a reed  and for lying in sackcloth and ashes? Is that what you call a fast,  a day acceptable to the  Lord ? Isaiah 58:5 It appears that in one sense the entire book of Isaiah was prophesying about the final days on the earth as portrayed in the Fall Feasts.   1. Trumpets -  2. Yom Kipp...

WHAT WILL HAPPEN 'IN THAT DAY'?

Image
Isaiah the prophet invested at least the first 58 chapters of his 66 chapter book by prophesying about the Day of Atonement. Starting in Isaiah chapter 2 verse 11 and continuing until the end of Chapter 58.  The phrase "in that day" is used 44 times in the book of Isaiah. In the Hebrew language, this phrase refers specifically to the Day of Atonement, not simply the annual observation of this Holiest of Holy Days, but it refers to the Prophetic Fulfillment which will come to pass in the last days.  The SPRING FEASTS prophetically foretold of Messiah's first coming,  and they were all fulfilled by Jesus Christ in His first coming. We can prove this from the Scriptures with the words and actions of Jesus recorded in the gospels. With references that specifically say this was done so that the prophecy would be fulfilled. With that understanding as a backdrop, those of us alive today should be pressing into understanding the FALL FEASTS because... The  FALL FE...

JESUS IS GOING TO GET HIS FULL INHERITANCE

Image
The Day of Atonement looks forward prophetically to that day when Jesus ultimately receives His full inheritance, the Nations. In the beginning, the first Adam was given dominion over the whole earth, and Jesus, because He was born of a woman, born under the law, He qualifies as the only sinless 'son' of Adam. Qualified to become the Great King of the whole Earth, Including being given authority/ruling over all nations. He will be crowned the Kings of earthly kings, and the Lord of all temporal lords.  The Feast of Trumpets (10 days earlier) looks forward to the day that Jesus will be crowned as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords but the Day of Atonement is the day He opens His courts for judgment of the Nations.  As the judge of the nations, The 'Sheep' Nations he will set on his right, and the 'Goat' nations he will set on His left. ‘Ask it of Me, and I will certainly give the nations as Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth as Your possession.  Psalm 2:8...

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN - THE DAYS OF AWE!

Image
Last time I suggested that you might take one of the ten commandments for each day of the ten 'Days of Awe' from The Feast of Trumpets through the Day of Atonement. To use this as a guide in the self-examination process.  If you start with the tenth commandment and count down to the first commandment you will actually be raising the bar each day until you reach the final four by which even the nations will be judged. The first commandment is also the greatest commandment. Starting here we can count down to the Day of Atonement  10. You shall not covet your neighbor's goods 9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor 8. You shall not steal 7. You shall not commit adultery 6. You shall not murder 5. Honor your father and your mother THE FINAL FOUR - NATIONS WILL ALSO BE JUDGED BY THESE 4. Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy 3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain 2. You shall not make unto yourself any graven images 1. You shall have no ...
