THE TITHE NO ONE TALKS ABOUT
THE TITHE NO ONE TALKS ABOUT -
THE FEAST OF THE LORD TITHE
Chances are no one has ever told you about this tithe, Because it was tied directly to the Feasts of the Lord and the modern church has continued to ignore them as Old Covenant Feasts. When in fact they are all NEW Covenant Feasts. They foretell God's plan for the redemption of Adam's race. We have removed ourselves from the requirements and therefore the blessings of God's appointed times of Thanksgiving. This ironic separation of Christ's church from the Feasts of our Lord was purposely executed by the Roman Emporer (considered a god) of the ancient Roman Empire and for a season the pontiff of its State Church. This divorce of the so-called church from the feasts of the Lord of the Church started during the 4th century. Divorcing the Roman church from the Appointed Times was motivated by their hatred for the Jews. As the prophet, Daniel predicted in Daniel chapter 7, the Roman Empire (the 4th Beast) would seek to change (if it were possible) the appointed times and the laws of God.
Rome broke the connection with the Jewishness of the Gospel message and practice. In doing so they also left the Gospel of 'salvation by faith' because "salvation is of the Jews" What immediately followed this purposeful divorce was called the Dark Ages and it lasted for 1000 years. The reformation and restoration of the Church began with others but gained momentum with Luther's nailing of 95 theses to the door of the church in Wittenberg in 1517. The reformation continued with several progressive waves of truth being restored to the Church. Unfortunately, each successive movement was persecuted by the people of the previous movement, and this trend has continued right up to our current day.
Ironically, our modern 'protestant' churches although they protested against the Roman church still embrace a lot of Roman practices and even incorporate them into our interpretation of the Scriptures.
They may have forgotten that the Christ of the New Covenant Christians was a Jew and that He along with His apostles continued to observe all the Feasts of the Lord and lead others to do so during their time on the earth.
Zechariah prophesied that when this Christ comes back to rule and reign on the earth from Jerusalem that every nation will be required to come to Jerusalem and celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.
And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. Zechariah 14:1617
I believe as we have watched Israel being physically restored and legally established in the Promised Land that God has been returning His Church incrementally to the revelation of the Feasts of the Lord. Because they, layout for us the entire plan of redemption from the First Adam to the Final Adam who will come back as King of the whole Earth.
I began this journey personally in 1995 by attending the fall feasts with a Messianic Assembly in Massachusettes and since then I have been pursuing a greater understanding of the Lord's Feasts and their application in the New Covenant. With each new year, I see more Christian ministries moving towards either embracing and espousing the symbolic meanings of these feasts or moving beyond that to some sort of observation of them. Personally, I have decided that I should walk this out rather than talk about it, but it is hard to have a feast by myself.
This next year my family and I are moving into an active observation of them. We plan to use the Feast of the Lord tithe principle to fund our celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles in the fall of 2021.
