MANKATO 7 -Transitions toward Release - A seasonal change is coming!
Each of these Shemitah transition years in my life were very significant changes for me and the people around me. They brought about a change of seasons and I expect this year will be no different.
I have compared these Shemitah years by the use of the pattern I saw of a six week (46 day) window before Rosh Hashanah, starting with the seven year sign of my house and the foundations of the CLC congregation.
The dates of the first two are exactly seven years apart even to the day. The number 40 is significant of probation or trial, and the number six is the significant of man. so the 46 days mentioned in each story means (trial of man, or probation of man), (whereas, 42 means probation or trial of the house)
FIRST THE NATURAL
In 1993 Shemitah (Entering a Sabbatical year of rest)
- I sold my brand new home
- We moved physically to a different city and a different house,
- Our 1950s house needed a new physical foundation.
- My family moved to Mankato, it was a major shift for us.
- My son Micah presented with a physical disease - Type 1 diabetes as an 18 month old toddler.
- Physical Family/Physical Foundation total Duration 120 days.
- July 31, 1993 (5753) my wife and I released our house after 6 years
- We lived in another house for (46 days) until on
- September 15 -Rosh Hashanah (5754) the day we moved into our house on Main street.
- First (utility) service was restored to the house on Friday, September 17
- Construction continues through November 30
- Micah presents with Diabetes on 11-26-1993@20 months
Functionally - Move Physical family unto new physical foundation
Prophetic Corollary: "Seven years for Leah" (weak eyed or weary eyes?)
Prophetic Word to me: "David, this house will be a sign to you, it is the state of the Church"
לאה - LEAH - weariness
The verb לאה (la'a) means to be weary, grieved, offended (even impatient or slow says BDB Theological Dictionary). HAW Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament sums the meaning of this verb up as, "physical or psychological weariness." It may occur to someone who runs with footmen (Jeremiah 12:5), or folks who vainly try to find a way into a house (Genesis 19:11). It may happen when water has a disagreeable taste (Exodus 7:18) or when a person is so lazy that the mere effort of bringing food to his mouth wears him out (Proverbs 26:15).
This verb's sole derivation is the feminine noun תלאה (tela'a), toil, hardship (Exodus 18:8, Nehemiah 9:32).

THEN THE SPIRITUAL
In 2000 a Shemitah (Entering a Sabbatical year of rest)
I was in a ministry for five years that met in a house and then in the church building, God was rekindling things in my life from January to May that year. We released that ministry which was being run independently from the church and in a way released my calling in order to save this congregation.The transition of that season was a life changing shift. It brought difficult times to me and my family. Certainly could be described as to be made weary, grieved, offended, toil and hardship Things I had to be released from by Apostolic authority six years later.
Duration 120 days.
90 day Sabbatical from September 1-Nov 30 Jim Dye and me.
- July 31, 2000 (5760) we released a ministry after six years.
- CLC allowed to stay a few days into August, lease was up on July 31.
- CLC congregation met in the local Best Western, for (46 days) until
- Signed a lease on September 15th for the Love It Building.
- First service on Sunday, September 17, in the 'Love It' bldg.
- Jim Dye and construction continue through November 30
Functionally - Move Spiritual Family onto a new Spiritual Foundation
Prophetic Corollary: "Seven years for Rachel"
Prophetic word to me: "You are David and I see you holding five smooth stones, you are slinging out five fold ministries, out of your sling."
רחל - Rachel - quiet submission
The very ancient word רחל (rahel), meaning ewe, occurs in several Semitic languages, all with the same meaning. We have no idea what the root of this word might be or what it may have meant.
Our word occurs four times in the Bible, in Genesis 31:8; Genesis 32:15; Song 6:6; and most famously in Isaiah 53:7, "Like a sheep—רחל (rahel)—that is silent before its shearers, so did He not open His mouth".
Rosh Hashanah (5760-5761) transition was on the 29th of September this year.
In both cases above the dates are the same having numbers that are most likely significant...
Looking at the numbers.
July =7 = completion, spiritual perfection
- 31 = primary authority or strong
- 15 = New direction
- 17 = Victory
- 30= preparation for ruler-ship, spiritual perfection

I ran my own business a wireless dealership from 2001-2007. I released that business and closed the doors. The transition was from having people work for you to working for someone else full time.Relationally - Working with Pat Forbes and David Rosebaugh
Functionally - Financial family/Financial foundation, move to Champ full time
Prophetic Corollary: "Six years for Flocks and Herds, Wages changed ten times."
- July 31, 2007? approximately I released my wireless business, after 6 years.
- Closing down the store (42 days*)?
- Rosh Hashanah on the 12th of September (5768)

In 2014 a Shemitah (entering a Sabbatical year of rest)
Relationally - working with Don Millican and the Thursday Night prayer group prior to transistion.
Functionally - Jacob gets a new name Wrestling with the angel to receive the blessing.
Prophetic Corollary: Jacob returns to Bethel (his Father's house) and to his father's house (his inheritance).
Prophetic Word: "You are a wrestler, you have wrestled with God and man and have prevailed, you will train others, young men to wrestle, you are a wrestling coach, you will teach them in a short amount of time what it took years to learn on your own.
- August 14, 2014 After six years, Don stepped down and released the Thursday Night Prayer meeting.
- Sunday September 28, Six weeks (46 days) later the elders announced an impromptu meeting after the Sunday service to tell us that they were not reinstating the Thursday Night Prayer meeting.
- September 24 is the Eve of Rosh Hashanah (5775) and falls within in the sixth week after (42 days= probation of the house, family).
- Prayer group remains dispersed through November 30
Looking at the biblical meaning of the numbers
- 42 = probation or trial of a house
- 46 = probation or trial of a man
- August = 8 = New Beginning
- September = 9 = Visitation
- August 14 - 14 = Release the opening of the door
- 8-14-14 would mean New beginning, double release! double deliverance! the opening of the two doors, even the prisoner of the inner chamber has the door open reminds me of Peter, locked in the inner chamber and the angel walks him out through opened doors.
- September 28 = Visitation - leading of the Spirit.
- September 25 = Visitation - Priesthood.
- 11-30 -14 11= incompleteness, 30 = preparation for ruler-ship, 14 = release the opening of the door.
In the one year bible the reading for September 28th the day the prayer meeting was declared ended was out of Isaiah 56.
And here is what it says...
“Also the sons of the foreigner Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him,And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants—Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And holds fast My covenant—7 Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices Will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” The Lord God, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says,“Yet I will gather to himOthers besides those who are gathered to him.”
