WHAT ABOUT INJUSTICE?

PRESIDENTIAL PARDON FOR DAKOTA 38? - The Issue may go to the WHITE HOUSE

Back in August during our 40 days of prayer on a Thursday night we had a vision of a barley loaf rolling up Capitol Hill and coming to rest, leaning on the capitol building.

It was followed quickly by a barley loaf rolling into the Oval Office and filling it up.

This petition would be for a presidential pardon therefore it would fulfill the vision of the a barley loaf rolling into the Oval (presidential) Office.

The image of a barely loaf comes from Scripture, it is recorded in in the book of Judges chapter 7 to prove to Gideon in case he was afraid, it proved that God was with him and He would accomplish what He promised.

MANKATO, Minn. - Mankato residents have set up a petition on the White House website calling for a posthumous pardon of the 38 Dakota that were executed over 150 years ago.

No defense lawyers, a five-minute trial, in a language they didn't know, leading to a mass public execution.
These are the reasons laid out in a petition to have the 38 men hanged in Mankato in 1862, and two others involved in the Dakota Conflict pardoned.
Supporters also believe the request goes beyond just judicial malpractice.

Dave Brave Heart with the Mahkato Mdewakanton Association says, "They felt that they had no choice but to defend and do something about what they were defending. And yet they were punished. They were treated like less than criminals. A criminal today would get their due process in a court of law."

On December 26th, 2012, the city of Mankato dedicated this memorial behind me in honor of the largest mass execution in U.S. history. And it was the debate over the memorial that spurred the petition.

Jack Considine, who created the petition, says, "When we started work on the monument a couple of years ago, some of the people that were protesting pointed out that the gentlemen were convicted by a court of law, and that bothered me. They really weren't. It was a travesty. It was a lynching. That should be corrected."
The Obama Administration will respond to the petition if it receives 100,000 signatures on the website over the next two weeks.
It's an open question from there, what will come next.
Brave Heart says, "How can you make something better that's caused a lot of pain."

The petition won't appear on the whitehouse.gov website until there are at least 120,000 signatures.

WHY SHOULD CHRISTIANS GET INVOLVED?
 Cry aloud, spare not; Lift up your voice like a trumpet; Tell My people their transgression, And the house of Jacob their sins.
Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
To loose the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the heavy burdens
To let the oppressed go free,
And that you break every yoke?

 Is it not to
share your bread with the hungry, And that you
bring to your house the poor who are cast out;
When you see the naked, that you cover him,
And not hide yourself from your own flesh?

 Then your light shall break forth like the morning,
Your healing shall spring forth speedily,
And your righteousness shall go before you;
The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
 Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer;
You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.
“If you take away the yoke from your midst,
The pointing of the finger,
and speaking wickedness,
 If you extend your soul to the hungry
And satisfy the afflicted soul,

Then your light shall dawn in the darkness,
And your darkness shall be as the noonday.
 The Lord will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought,
And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
 Those from among you
Shall build the old waste places;
You shall raise up the foundations of many generations;
And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach,
The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.
