============================Hello Everyone,
We are living in exciting days in expectation of the Lord revealing his promises and we are his servants receiving the fulfillment of those promises.
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" Galatians 6.9.
Keep believing and keep praying there is an amazing expectation in the kingdom for what we will see in the coming days.
This passage in Daniel sums up what is welling up in my heart at this moment:
"SINCE THE FIRST DAY THAT YOU SET YOUR MIND TO GAIN UNDERSTANDING AND TO HUMBLE YOURSELF BEFORE YOUR GOD, YOUR WORDS WERE HEARD, AND I HAVE COME IN RESPONSE TO THEM" Daniel 10.12.
Many others have labored in this region but the Lord is saying the time is now, this is the day, to announce the Jubilee of the Lord Jesus Christ, release the prisoners, set the captives free, and comfort all who mourn.
Ok, I got the preach on me for a little bit there. I really want to just commend each and every one of you for your faithfulness to prayer and inform you personally of upcoming events on the ride particularly here in Mankato. On Sunday night I got a call from Darwin the event coordinator and he is very open to our involvement, in fact, they really need our help.
1. Dec. 21-22 in Morton are rest days for the riders I will be going out on 21st, to connect with people there at the Wacipi (social event). Loren and Margaret Matzke are going as well. I will give more detailed times as I get them. Loren and I will be walking on Mon 23rd starting at Morton to Fort Ridgley 17 miles if anyone wants to join us.
2. Dec. 25 about 3-4 pm, riders will arrive at Land of Memories Park in Mankato. There will be a campfire and ceremony as soon as they arrive. Evening feast (really a potluck) at 6:00 pm at Belgrade United Methodist Church in North Mankato, expecting 50-125. Everyone is welcome to come to these events bring a potluck dish if you come to the evening feast. If you want to help take care of horses at the Matzke Farm, feeding, etc please let me know.
3. Dec. 26, 10:00 am campfire ceremony at Land of Memories Park followed by ride/walk to the hanging site by the library. There will be a police escort and all are welcome to walk along in support. Feast (potluck) at 1:00 pm at Belgrade United Methodist, come with a side dish for the potluck, expecting 200-300.
The feasts are kind of like our potluck dinners everyone helps set up and clean up afterward. Turkeys are being provided and we may also have some buffalo meat.
One thing I'm not sure of on the 26th, if they need help with the horses. More info to come!
Andy is going to be in charge of getting firewood for the campfire ceremonies.
If you would like to help out give him a call.
Above all remember that our posture should be one of humility and love when we connect with people. I am confident that God has set this up and he will give us the connections we are supposed to have.
Blessings,
Don
