THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID

Image
David built a tabernacle with no veil, with unlimited access to the mercy seat, the place where the presence of God was manifest.  It was a preview of the New Covenant where we could all enter into the Holy of Holies in Jesus Christ our High Priest. Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens,  Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast   our   confession.   For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points   tempted as   we are, yet   without sin.   Let us therefore come boldly to the  throne of grace , that we may  obtain   mercy  and  find grace  to help in time of need.     Hebrews 4:14-16   The throne of grace is a very similar term to the Mercy Seat, David had successfully removed the need for the outer court, and the inner court and all their trappings and religious procedures, he even remov...

KNOWING GOD BY EXPERIENCE - 3 ESSENTIALS

THE THREE ESSENTIALS OF A KNOWING GOD PRAYER - INTERCOURSE - LISTENING to GOD and  TALKING to GOD BIBLE STUDY - LEARNING GOD's WAYS PROPHETIC - CO-MISSION - HERALDING GOD'S (NOW) WORDS PRAYER - INTERCOURSE  The apostle Paul told Timothy " I desire therefore that the  men  pray   everywhere , lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;" 1 Timothy 2:8   Prayer is more than asking for our needs, or begging God to do something. Real prayer is much more than what you can get out of a 'fox hole' TRANSACTION with God. Prayer is a conversation with God, borne out of a love relationship with Him.  Max Thomas shared that,  "Prayer in essence is  the connection between two hearts."    it was a powerful statement, I loved that and it has impacted my life over the last several months... but I also came up with my own definition.  Here is my definition  Prayer - is the two-way breathe-in, breathe-out proces...

THE GREAT COMMISSION four view points

Image
Each of the gospel writers recorded what resonated with them out of the Great Commission, by merging these four accounts we can establish the complete message. MATTTHEW – AUTHORITY to Make disciples – TEACH them to obey. 18  And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying ,   “ All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth .   19  Go therefore   and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,   20  teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always,   even   to the end of the age.”   Amen. Remember, Matthew was a government employee, he understood imputed or delegated authority. "ALL AUTHORITY, IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH" ·        Jesus gave up all His authority in heaven when he stepped down from His glory and humbled himself and became like a man ·    ...

A SPECIAL MESSAGE TO THE MANKATO SEVEN

Image
To the Mankato Seven Just a thought from back in 1971, this song hit the #1 slot on the pop music charts in 1971, during the birthing time of the charismatic renewal in America. It wasn't a worship song it was just a song about injustice.  Could it be that what God asked of us in the summer, fall and winter of 2013 with the Dakota Nation, repentance and a call for justice, is a marker for His intent to bring another move of God?  When we look back in another 44 years, Lord willing, will we will find that this move of God, was as large as, or greater than, the Charismatic renewal of the 70s?  Have a fresh listen to the words...  "Cherokee Nation" 1971

MORE THAN A MIRACLE!

Image
Remember the account of Jesus at a Wedding in Cana when they ran out of wine. He performs His first sign there. This is perhaps the greatest of all His miracles. In that it unveils the purpose of His earthly ministry as the bridge between the Old and New Covenants. Ephesians 2:14-22  Water Turned to Wine  On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.  2  Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.  3  And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him,   “They have no wine.” 4  Jesus said to her,  “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.” John 2    H as that last line ever bothered you?  It has bothered me, plenty! In fact it made me believe that somehow this miracle was not that significant: if Jesus did it only by compulsion... can you hear your teenager responding when you suggest that they display a talen...

THE KING IS IN THE FIELD

THE DAYS OF AWE During the seventh month of Elul there are three fall feasts established by the Lord the God of Israel in Leviticus 23:23-43 right now as of 7:12 pm in Minnesota it is Elul 11 the day after the Day of Atonement.  THE KING IS IN THE FIELD  Rabbi  Schneur Zalman of Liadi  explains the paradox of Elul with the following metaphor:  The king's usual place is in the capital city, in the royal palace. Anyone wishing to approach the king must go through the appropriate channels in the palace bureaucracy and gain the approval of a succession of secretaries and ministers. He must journey to the capital and pass through the many gates, corridors and antechambers that lead to the throne room. His presentation must be meticulously prepared, and he must adhere to an exacting code of dress, speech and mannerism upon entering into the royal presence. However, there are times when the king comes out to the fields outside the city. At such times, anyo...
