“Write the vision down and make it plain, that he may run who reads it.” Habakuk the prophet
I wanted to give a gift that would last beyond my sojourn here on the earth and so I began to write.
I wrote of life, my life, the little things that happened that day.
I wrote about things that went right and about things that went wrong.
I wrote about things I thought were meaningless and later some proved to be significant

“God and I spoke further, I will not tell you what we said.” Author Unknown
I wrote down what I thought God was saying at the moment.
I wrote down my dreams. Some were insightful and others remain a mystery.
I wrote down what was prophesied in my hearing, and what was prophesied to me.
And in the end, I discovered the pearls that truly came from Him.
“Writing comes more easily, if you have something to say” – Sholem Auch
I wrote about people I met along the way; the good, the bad, the ugly.
I wrote about the memories of those who spoke a kind word.
I wrote about narrow people who spoke harsh words.
I wrote about my secrets, my feelings, fears, and frustrations
I wrote out the deepest desires of my heart, and the joy of desires fulfilled.

“The further backward you look, the further forward you can see” – Winston Churchill

Even while they remain in my custody, the colors and shapes fade toward obscurity which each passing season.
Unwritten memories are like a polaroid photograph, It’s colors are so vivid as they gradually come to the surface in the moment, the vegetable dyes used to make the vivd colors begin to fade in just a matter of days even as memories do.
Written memories are like the antique photos etched in Silver plate of ancesters long gone but you can still make out the details. It took longer to print these photos and they are less colorful than the fresh experience of being there, but they have accurately kept all the details intact for 100 years. So it is with writing...
“Don’t be afraid that your life will end; be afraid that it will never begin”- Grace Hansen
This journal, worth now only the cost of 100 sheets of blank paper pressed together and bound in a simple cover, could become a priceless treasure in just one lifetime, if only you will write in it.
So write and with each page, its value will multiply over and over.Putting your heart on paper becomes a testament of Love for those who will read it after you are gone.Do NOT WAIT until next year to begin.Wait not a month, nor a week, not even a day!Begin today, write something now, right now.
Don’t be afraid your writing will end, be afraid your writing might never begin.
