Appointed times for 2019 (part three) - NEW PASSOVER FOR A NEW COVENANT

NEW PASSOVER FOR A NEW COVENANT

Introduction

Every year I have friends who ask me when Passover is, or when Trumpets is this year. So with that in mind, I will share some of those dates here. I have other friends who wonder "why should we even care when these Feasts are?" There is a level of ignorance in the church.

Because these Seven Feasts are dress rehearsals for the NEW Covenant plan of redemption, not merely, Old Covenant rituals.

THE NEW COVENANT PROPHETIC SIGNIFICANCE of the Spring Feasts.

Which day did Jesus pick for instituting "the Lord's Supper"?

SATURDAY?
In the Gospels of Luke and Mark, there is a confusing statement it says...
"Now on the first day of "Unleavened Bread"  that might lead one to conclude that Jesus' disciples prepared His Passover meal on Saturday, (the day after 'Good' Friday). Here is the problem, Saturday would be after Jesus died, He would have been dead and sealed in the grave all day Saturday, so that couldn't possibly be what the writer meant by the phrase "the first day of unleavened bread".

FRIDAY?
The very next phrase describes it as "the day the lambs were killed" which would make it, (Abib 14) or the Day of Preparation. Here is the problem with the Day of Preparation theory it means the disciples were preparing Jesus' Passover meal while he was hanging on the cross from 9 am - 3 pm and they would have to eat the meal together without him after sundown just hours after He died and was buried. So that cannot possibly be what the writer meant either. So what day was it?

THURSDAY?
Unless of course, they killed the lamb before sundown which is still, Abib 13 and opens Abib 14 (the Day of Preparation) "when the lambs were to be killed". The problem with Abib 13 before Sundown is the lamb. You could not legally kill the Passover lamb until the day of preparation between noon and six pm. So the question is... Did Jesus violate the Law he came to fulfill by killing a lamb before it was permitted, to institute the NEW Covenant?
Jesus celebrated the Passover (without a lamb) with His Disciples one day early!

What I am about to share is controversial. What if they did not kill a lamb for their early Passover?  They could have legally celebrated the rest of the meal with unleavened bread, wine, bitter herbs and sweet fruit  at sundown, which began the Day Of preparation. They could go through all the rituals and without killing a lamb it would all be 'kosher' .

What if Jesus was the Lamb? He replaced the flesh of the lamb in His Passover by saying "this bread is my body broken for you,"  "Slain before the foundations of the world were laid". Yet He could not be slain physically until later that same day 'between the evenings'

They met at sundown on the night before the traditional Passover (Abib 13/14) This timeline is the only one that works when you think in Biblical days, rather than Roman-Gregorion  days.
How do we know Jesus instituted the Lord's Supper during a Passover meal the night before the traditional one? On Abib 13 into 14?
Abib 13-14 (would be Thursday, April 17, 2019 into Friday, April 18th)
1. Because it was recorded in Scripture that Jesus' body must be taken down and buried before the (festival) Sabbath, Abib 15 which began at sundown, which ended Abib 14 (the law required a Holy convocation on the first day of Unleavened bread (Abib 15) which began at sundown ending Abib 14. Therefore Jesus had to be betrayed, accused, tried by the Jewish leaders, and by the gentiles, and found faultless, be beaten, mocked, struck with fists, suffer, die and to be buried all on Abib 14 prior to 6 pm.
2. The Sanhedrin also met through the night (eve of Abib 14)  to try Jesus, so they would have enough time to gain the death sentence from Pilate and still have enough time to execute His cruxifiction before sun went down on Abib 14, Because at sundown on Abib 14, ended and began the Sabbath, Abib 15,  with the mandated (24 hours of  'Holy convocation' when no common work could be done). This would have included the burial of bodies, as well as the deciding a man's fate in a court of law.
3. All Israelites were required to stay within the doors of their house, on the Eve of Passover until dawn. Yet in this Gospel account, we have Jesus and the disciples walking out of the house right after the Passover meal? Walking up to the mount of Olives. Apparantly the mob led by Judas and the priests had the same idea to disrespect the Passover meal, choosing to rise up in the middle of it, leave thier kinsman and go out with clubs and swords to the Mount of Olives.
4. The Sanhedrin and their armed guards also came out after their Passover meals and hunted down Jesus in the garden and then abandoned their families for the rest of the night to conduct an illegal trial during a Holy Convocation. I don't think so,  remember they could do no ordinary work on the first day of the feast.
Why would Jesus perhaps choose the Essenes "Lambless Passover"?

Because He would spiritually become the Passover lamb later the same day and so a Passover lamb was not required at the one-day early event with his Disciples. There was no lamb mentioned only the 'dipping', the cup after the meal, and the (unleavened) bread. Plus the command was now this bread is my body (the Lamb's flesh) as often as you eat this bread (my Body) do it in remembrance of me.

Remember: These biblical feasts always start at sundown on the previous (Roman calendar) day. Genesis documents the day as viewed by God, before sin entered the creation..." the evening and the morning were the first day, and so on through all the days. All the feast days begin and end at sundown (not at midnight). So, when it says Passover is April 192019, what they mean is at sundown on April 18 until sundown on April 19.
