 A SUPERNATURAL SIGN FOR JUSTICE IN MANKATO


APRIL 4, 2013 THIS HAPPENED DURING THE SEASON THAT WE WERE PRAYING FOR JUSTICE FOR THE BROKEN TREATIES OF THE FIRST NATIONS
A 34 foot tall, 
11,000 pound Lady Justice statue  
turned a quarter turn towards the South and towards the left hand holding the scales of justice (left hand is commonly connected with judgment) but she dropped her sword which fell to the ground below. The dropping of the sword it seems would indicate Judgement yes but without the sword or death. 

 The first question that comes to mind is,  "How could this happen?" 

 We are talking about a statue that is 34 feet tall! and weighs 5.5 tons! 

 It would take a major force wind, to cause her to turn at all, much less a 90-degree turn. 

Here is an excerpt from the article in the Free Press. 

Lady Justice -- the 5 1/2- ton, the 34-foot-tall statue atop the Blue Earth County Historic Courthouse -- took a quarter turn to the left and dropped her sword (which fell and pierced the ground, like a plowshare)* on Wednesday, prompting county officials to restrict public access to areas below the iconic but no-longer immobile figure.  "We believe it's weather-related," Meyer said. 
Schwickert is scrambling to find a crane tall enough to lift workers to the statue for a closer examination and to bring her to the ground if it appears she's in danger of falling. While ground-zero of any impact has been blocked off, county officials are also worried about the well-being of Justice herself.
The sword dropped Wednesday afternoon, but there is some suspicion that the counterclockwise turn could have happened earlier, he said: "The piece falling off today brought it to everybody's attention."

Lady Justice was removed and restored in 1990 as part of a comprehensive renovation of the courthouse following its 1986 centennial. There were bullet holes in her copper gown, a large gouge in the arm holding the scales of justice, and a large rip in the back of her gown. In addition, the metal seams below her outer sheath were rusting, and the wooden post holding her in place was rotting.
Unlike many statues of Justice, Blue Earth County's statue doesn't wear a blindfold.

This post is about my reoccurring connection to the Minnesota Miracle and how God has kept the dream alive for a revival in Minnesota that He wants to bring to birth.  October 1971 - Minnesota Miracle Seventeen years old and on my way to a weekend retreat at Camp Courage. There I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit on Friday night with many other young people. The rest of that weekend was supernatural, none of us (over 100 high school and college students) showed up at the dining hall to eat, many of us did not sleep, we sought the Lord continuously for three days from Friday evening until Sunday at Noon . God was present in a tangible way as the Spirit hovered over our camp. A WRINKLE IN TIME... another JESUS PEOPLE movement?

First the Natural...  The Jesus People Church in Minneapolis begun in 1972, came out of the REVIVAL meetings held 7 days a week for several weeks at Souls Harbor, Downtown Minneapolis in the fall of 1971.  Coincidentally, the congregation at the renewed Jesus People Church now in Rogers, MN set aside Friday, May 2, 2014, for a Jesus People Church Reunion.  They invited all those who were part of the Jesus People Church in Minneapolis during the 70s and 80s; as part of that congregation in the past, my wife and I received a personal invitation to attend. But we did not go the gala event at a ritzy hotel in Minneapolis. Then the Spiritual!  The same weekend, I also received a personal invitation for Saturday, 5/3/14 to hear Cindy Jacobs at the House Church at 2024 Rahn Road in Eagan, MN.
