TNP - THERE'S GLORY BEHIND THE VEIL
Going Beyond the Veil
Long soaking time this week. We listened to Jesus Culture Live
in Chicago for the most part; The whole idea of soaking is to leave
the world and its concerns outside and enter in. To incline our ears to hear
what the LORD is saying. Don and I
discussed having more instrumental music.
Zachary - We
prayed for Zachary (6 yr. old, with brain tumor//chemo) and Mindy Hoffman (mom)
Jean M - was back with us, she encouraged us that this (what
we are doing) was about to explode and spread and that it was very important.
David P - said that there was a presence or a light
immediately appeared as I started to play, but when I left the room to tune the guitar
it faded quickly.
Don – keyed in on the BOLDNESS
David -
Shared a new song written on 4-15-2012 “There’s Glory Behind the Veil” (see attached)
·
A veil remains over their heart so they cannot
see Him
·
We all with unveiled faces behold him
·
Slip behind the veil so that you can come out
from behind the veil filled with the power of the Spirit and With BOLDNESS be
his witnesses.
Christy Crouse – was with us this particular night and she was prepared to read
out of II Corinthians 3:7-18 but she waited until after I shared this song.
14 mentions of glory in vs. 7-11,
Six times veil is mentioned in vs. 12-18
If We Slip Behind the Veil...

To reveal the face of
God
The Father reached
down and tore the Veil
So we could enter in

There is Glory behind the veil
Where we meet Him face to face
Where the presence of the Lord is, there is liberty
If we slip behind the veil
Let's slip behind the veil Verse 3
When you meet TRUTH behind the veil
And hear His words to you
He will search your
heart and renew your mind
When you slip behind the
veil
Chorus 3
There is Glory behind the veil
And TRUTH will set you free
In the presence of the Lord, there is liberty
As TRUTH waits behind the veil
Let's slip behind the veil
Verse

When you meet LOVE
behind the veil
And you look into His
eyes
You will know His Love, it will melt your heart
When you slip behind the
veil
Chorus 4
There is Glory behind
the veil
And LOVE will change
your heart
In the presence of the
Lord, there is liberty
And LOVE waits behind
the veil
Let's slip behind the
veil
But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.
Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech— unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. II Corinthians 3:7-18
I had no
idea when I received this song that it was pulled right out of Scripture.
In history, the veil was to hide the face of God, to bar intimacy if you will. But in
Christ the veil has been removed; now we can with open (unveiled) face beholding
as in a mirror the Glory of the Lord. We see His face of endearment, affection, and love, looking back at us, as though in a mirror, as though we have grown to
look like Him. And the glory resident in our own open face reflects back the
goodness of the Lord.
If the temple veil was removed, why must WE
in the new covenant slip behind the veil?
So we do
not slip behind the veil of the old temple per se, but we slip behind the veil
that defines the bridal relationship of intimacy and we press into seeing him
whom our heart loves.
The veil
now is the veil of the bridal chamber, where we have bold access 24/7/365 for
eternity “ever present with the Lord” is our ultimate destiny. However, we live
in a “real” world where we must still make a move to come into His
presence.
When we
come to the Lord with an open (unveiled) face…
as after the wedding vows,
when the
veil is removed, the officiant says,
“you may now kiss the bride”,
the bride
says “let Him kiss me
with the Kisses of His mouth.
And we all
with open (unveiled face) face… see Him as the only begotten full of grace and truth.
