WHAT IS BETTER THAN LIFE?

Your loving kindness is better than life.
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness

O God, You are my God;
Early will I seek You;
My soul thirsts for You;
My flesh longs for You
In a dry and thirsty land
Where there is no water.

So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,
To see Your power and Your glory. 
Because Your loving kindness is better than life,

 My lips shall praise You.
 Thus I will bless You while I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name.

My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness,

And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.

 What did David know that we do not know? 

 As a culture we are chasing the fountain of youth, botox, face lifts, skin tucks, make up, dyed hair, on & on it goes and all of it is vanity. 

 We battle aging in an attempt to turn back the clock because life is precious.

However, David is seeing something of higher value in this life, higher in priority than the total value of this life. 

 Even the jaded half life, where we live in the shadow lands of this world, is precious. 

 But His Loving kindness has no mixture of good and bad it is only good.

 Just as there is no darkness found in Him, not even a shadow of turning. 
Also His loving kindness will follow us beyond this life and into the next. 

 No doubt, what awaits us there is much greater than the greatest joys of this life here on the earth.  Because it is written, 
    “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”  1 Corinthians 2:9

 I don't know what struggles you are walking through today, but stop your struggling and fall back into his everlasting arms. Let yourself relax there in His presence, knowing his loving kindness can sustain you, reinvigorate you, resurrect you in all of your dead places. 

 Don't leave that place until you know his unfailing love by experience and let the new wine of His life fill up all the empty caverns of your heart. 

 NOW that you have experienced his loving kindness turn to someone and release his loving kindness to them. 

 But they don't deserve it, you say. All the more reason to release it. 

 Herein is love that while we were yet sinners Christ dies for us 

 His loving kindness bought us our freedom from the fear of death and made a way for us to step into an incredible place of blessing.

 He became cursed for us so that He could reverse the curse placed on us through our earthly fathers all the way back to the first Adam in the garden. 

 Now He has called us to reverse the curse for others as ambassadors of Christ.  2 Corinthians 5:18-20 

 Bless those who persecute you, and do not Curse! Romans 12:14 


Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21 


 Get ready to become a distributor of the Loving Kindness of God.

 Declare the loving kindness of the Lord over the people and the things in life that trouble you the most,

  • in your family, 
  • in your workplace, 
  • in your city, 
  • in your region
  • in your country  


  Then stand and watch the Salvation of the Lord pour into those situations and reverse them, turn them around and redeem them.

I WAS THERE, GOD DID THAT, AND 45 YEARS LATER I GOT THE HOODIE

This post is about my reoccurring connection to the Minnesota Miracle and how God has kept the dream alive for a revival in Minnesota that He wants to bring to birth.  October 1971 - Minnesota Miracle Seventeen years old and on my way to a weekend retreat at Camp Courage. There I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit on Friday night with many other young people. The rest of that weekend was supernatural, none of us (over 100 high school and college students) showed up at the dining hall to eat, many of us did not sleep, we sought the Lord continuously for three days from Friday evening until Sunday at Noon . God was present in a tangible way as the Spirit hovered over our camp. We all left there changed by the power of the Holy Spirit.  The speaker that weekend was Dick Eastman he went onto North Central Bible college in downtown Mpls. A WRINKLE IN TIME... another JESUS PEOPLE movement?

First the Natural...  The Jesus People Church in Minneapolis begun in 1972, came out of the REVIVAL meetings held 7 days a week for several weeks at Souls Harbor, Downtown Minneapolis in the fall of 1971.  Coincidentally, the congregation at the renewed Jesus People Church now in Rogers, MN set aside Friday, May 2, 2014, for a Jesus People Church Reunion.  They invited all those who were part of the Jesus People Church in Minneapolis during the 70s and 80s; as part of that congregation in the past, my wife and I received a personal invitation to attend. But we did not go the gala event at a ritzy hotel in Minneapolis. Then the Spiritual!  The same weekend, I also received a personal invitation for Saturday, 5/3/14 to hear Cindy Jacobs at the House Church at 2024 Rahn Road in Eagan, MN.
