WHAT RULER CALLS FOR A FEAST AND THEN POSTPONES IT FOR 40 YEARS?

Yesterday was the celebration of the Feast of First Fruits.

This Feast stands out from the others in that directly inserted into the instruction to observe it, is a directive of a postponed timetable to observe it. 

Immediately after He commanded Israel to observe this Feast. He told them, "but you cannot observe it, until after you go into the Promised Land." So there was a 40-year postponement to the requirement to observe it. 

Since God has a purpose for everything He does and says... We should look into why He included a built-in delay.

All of the Feasts of the Lord are Feasts of Thanksgiving unto God.

This one celebrates specifically the Barley (the Overcomer) and Flax (Priesthood) harvest. The timing of this feast also correlates to the Spring 'lambing' season or the 'harvest' of lambs (sacrifice).

So if we look at all three 'harvests together, what is the hidden message of  (Wave Sheaf) Resurrection Sunday?

Lamb = Sacrifice = Jesus became the sacrificial Passover Lamb

Barley = Overcomer = Jesus overcame Death, Hell & the Grave

Flax = Priesthood = Jesus has become our High Priest after the order of Melchizedek 

This Season of Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits corresponds to these three harvests.

The Lamb was slain on the Day of Preparation = Passover

The Barley for baking bread = Unleavened bread of Affliction

The Linen for the Sinless High Priest who overcame Death and rose to immortality who also continually makes intercession for us.

The postponed requirement - is about our physical bodily resurrection to immortality being set later on God's prophetic timeline than Jesus' Who was the first fruits of Adam’s sons (the human race - the bread of affliction) to rise to immortality.

I WAS THERE, GOD DID THAT, AND 45 YEARS LATER I GOT THE HOODIE

This post is about my reoccurring connection to the Minnesota Miracle and how God has kept the dream alive for a revival in Minnesota that He wants to bring to birth.  October 1971 - Minnesota Miracle Seventeen years old and on my way to a weekend retreat at Camp Courage. There I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit on Friday night with many other young people. The rest of that weekend was supernatural, none of us (over 100 high school and college students) showed up at the dining hall to eat, many of us did not sleep, we sought the Lord continuously for three days from Friday evening until Sunday at Noon . God was present in a tangible way as the Spirit hovered over our camp. A WRINKLE IN TIME... another JESUS PEOPLE movement?

First the Natural...  The Jesus People Church in Minneapolis begun in 1972, came out of the REVIVAL meetings held 7 days a week for several weeks at Souls Harbor, Downtown Minneapolis in the fall of 1971.  Coincidentally, the congregation at the renewed Jesus People Church now in Rogers, MN set aside Friday, May 2, 2014, for a Jesus People Church Reunion.  They invited all those who were part of the Jesus People Church in Minneapolis during the 70s and 80s; as part of that congregation in the past, my wife and I received a personal invitation to attend. But we did not go the gala event at a ritzy hotel in Minneapolis. Then the Spiritual!  The same weekend, I also received a personal invitation for Saturday, 5/3/14 to hear Cindy Jacobs at the House Church at 2024 Rahn Road in Eagan, MN.
