The Final - Days of 'Elijah'
The Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah) falls on the first day of the seventh month (on the 30th of September this year) and commences the final segment of the religious calendar in Yahweh God's prophetic redemptive purposes which are concluded in the typology of the following feasts of Atonement and Tabernacles.
The preparation for this feast commences at the beginning of the preceding month of Elul, a period of thirty days that commences a forty-day season of repentance (Teshuvah) which climaxes and ends on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) which falls ten days after the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah). It is the second most solemn day of the religious calendar, being surpassed in importance only by the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) on the 10th Tishri which it announces and ushers in. - Wiki books -Hebrew Roots.There are Two Sets of the Days of Elijah - observed each year on the biblical calendar.
We have already discussed the Days of Elijah found in the Spring Feasts.
Now we are going to look at the Days of Elijah as it relates to Fall Feasts.
TWO - New Years - Two Comings of Messiah in the biblical calendar
- Spring (first month) FIRST THE NATURAL
- Autumn (the seventh month) THEN THE SPIRITUAL
TWO - Appointed Times for purifying ourselves - positioned before the two comings
- 13 days in the first month before PASSOVER - approaching bar mitzvah age
"no longer a child" introduction to sonship
- 30 days of the sixth month - a mature son's age - legal manhood -
"Revealing of the (mature) Sons of God"
There are also TWO seasons in the story of God's redemption of Adam's race, which could be referred to as the days of Elijah.
“See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.”Malachi 4:5-6

During the life of the historical Elijah, he challenged Israel to make a critical decision at a pivotal time in their history as a nation. The 'spirit' of Elijah will always bring us to the point of a decision between two opinions. At Carmel, Elijah posed this challenge to Israel and it is so applicable to our nation today
"How long will you halt between two opinions?
If the Lord is God serve Him and if Baal is god then serve him" - Elijah
In our day, God is exposing corruption, it seems like a spirit of expose' is at work among the Washington power brokers, the Roman Catholic Church, Vatican City, and now even in Hollywood. We have heard the news of priests, politicians, producers, and directors all accused of sexual abuse or sexual harassment.Listen as the 'Spirit' of Elijah was speaking through John the Baptizer, 'the voice of one crying in the wilderness - saying, "Prepare the way of the Lord" this all happened just six months before Jesus first coming.

Jesus names John the Elijah
For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John. And if you are willing to accept it, he is the 'Elijah' who was to come. Whoever has ears, let them hear. Matthew 11:13-15
Jesus describes the season of the Latter 'Days of Elijah'
22 Then He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. And they will say to you, ‘Look here!’ or ‘Look there!’ Do not go after them or follow them.
For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day... (But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.)
...And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man*: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. *Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. Remember Lot’s wife.
Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. 34 I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.”
And they answered and said to Him, “Where, Lord?” So He said to them, “Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.” - Jesus
"In the Days of Noah" - For 40 days and nights it rained and then the judgment was completed but the waters didn't subside until much later. The last days' ministry of Elijah is laid out in the observance of Teshuvah a 30 day time period each year leading up to the feast of Trumpets which falls on the very first day of the seventh month!) 10 more days makes 40 days.
These last 10 'Days of Awe' complete Teshuvah and serve as the final count down - 10 - 9 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 -1
to all inhabitants of the world standing before Jesus for judgement on the Day of Atonement
The sixth month (Elul) is indicative of the 'flesh', the natural world Six '6' is the number of mankind. It was on the 6th day that all mammals were created including the first man Adam and the first woman Eve.
Teshuvah means Return - 30 'days' of the 'Spirit' of Elijah released on the earth to prepare a people for God. This is the season of the 'great' harvest of souls coming on the earth when the 'spirit' of Elijah is released like the promise in the book of Joel 2-3. For revival first and then the Great Harvest of Souls.
“Even now,” declares the Lord, “Return to me with all your heart,
with fasting and weeping and mourning.” Rend your heart and not your garments.

This just precedes the culmination of all things.
Jesus said, And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself;
The angels also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” Acts 1:11
