TNP - WHAT IS GOD REALLY LOOKING FOR?
JAN 9 - GOD WANTS TO DWELL IN THE MIDST OF HIS PEOPLE.
God's desire is so strong to accomplish this dwelling with you that He sent His only Son,
to open the door for the forgiveness of sins and sent the Holy Spirit to indwell his children to seal the deal.
His plan was always to come and redeem you, to make you His very own. We see this message in so many places in Scripture, yet it is amazing that we miss 'hearing it, taking it into our spirit, and receiving it, as our own.
A price was paid to purchase our ability to approach God's presence without being consumed, there was a tremendous cost for Love to remove our sin from us and cast it into the sea of forgetfulness.
God is love and ...
Ever since God stopped down to the earth and began to form Adam from the clay of the earth, on the sixth day of creation, God has been pursuing one thing, to dwell in the midst of His people; He created mankind to dwell with Him forever.
Don't let your passing circumstances convince you otherwise. God has always been pursuing mankind for a love relationship. God is love and love must have an object, a person, or persons on whom to pour out that love and bestow its benefits.
For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son John 3:16a
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us Romans 5:8
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. John 15:13Have bad circumstances convinced you that God somehow is unable to Love you?
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:17Or have you been convinced that He doesn't want to dwell with you?

Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. Hebrews 9:22Yet God chooses to forgive and to forget, He actually forgets what wrongs have been done. He casts our sins into the sea of forgetfulness.

Love does not keep a record of wrongs;
I Corinthians 13:5bNow that the way has been made for us to freely enter in, we need to draw near. We need to as the saying goes slip behind the veil and see his face to face. David said it this way...
One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple. Psalm 27:4
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8
Thanks for the message David, and so very true, Hes looking for a bride, and He chose us. Nothing can fill that place in your heart thats meant for the love of God. When i was praying tonight i read about Aaron's two sons being consumed by fire for offering strange incense before God. Then God impressed upon me the cost of His Son's death. It caused me to want to make sure i'm not wasting the costly price Jesus paid to have us with Him, and make sure i'm living a Holy lifestyle. Lately i have been using Christs freedom for my own leisure, i want to give more of my life for His purposes. Coming into His presence and experiencing His love helps me to fulfill more of what He has set before me, and being motivated by Him loving me it doesn't even feel like work. Thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteDavid, it's good to see you writing again. I like your comments in the year book about the central theme of the gospel. This article is good central truth as well. It's a word that remains timeless and always relevant to everyone in our world.
