TNP - GODLINESS WITH CONTENTMENT... GREAT GAIN!
TNP – Sept 6, 2012 Godliness with Contentment is great Gain.
Don was playing worship songs from Gateway it was good. We got out
of there around midnight.
We started out with a joyful time of worship to a couple of
Brain Doerksen songs off of the worship CD “Live in London” We finished the soaking time with the song
come to me featuring Jenn Johnson from the loft sessions CD.
We
responded to the song “Come to Me I am all you need” by singing it back to the
Lord (you are all that I need) and the Spirit’s presence was powerful as we
declared that God is all we need, that He is our everything, he
is our anchor in the wind and the waves, He is our steadfast so
we won’t be afraid.
I
felt like the scripture God gave me for the night was
“Godliness with contentment is great gain.” I Tim. 6:6
Command
those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor trust in
uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to
enjoy. I Timothy 6:17
The
theme that developed later seemed to be drinking in the Lord’s presence and water, fountain, new wine, and the
cup of blessing, were all items
discussed and prayed for. Don read the passage in John 7
“Jesus cried out with a loud voice and said, Come unto me all who are thirsty.
There
were prophetic songs along that line that people sang out.
Don
asked if anyone was struggling to enter? Andy and Noble received prayer for
that. David P. asked for prayer for a woman in Albert Lea who is struggling
with the oppression of the enemy. I felt led to open it up to others to bring up
people in their lives that needed prayer.
Andy brought up a friend and sensed that this man is going to
drink from the cup of unforgiveness and bitterness to his own destruction. I saw a picture of a chalice and the words
came to mind…
“ The cup of blessing which we bless, is it
not the communion of the blood of Christ?”
This
man’s wife left him and I felt like God was saying He feels betrayed…
And
the phrase came to me Jesus was betrayed by a kiss.
“But Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of
Man with a kiss?” Luke 22:48
Aaron brought up a coworker who he senses is searching but
having trouble trusting God to have his best interests in mind.
Don read out of II Corinthians 5: God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself…and he has given us this same ministry of reconciliation. We are ambassadors for Christ. God is speaking through us the message of reconciliation.
Don
gave a praise report about Lori being healed after she called for the elders to
come a anoint her with oil a week ago. She began to feel better and has been on
the mend ever since. She had been sick for eight weeks straight.
Personal ministry for several and
their unsaved friends.
