TNP- AWAKE OH SLEEPER RISE FROM THE DEAD
Awake oh Sleeper, I hear the sound of the abundance of rain.
Don M., Myself,
Dave P., Brad G. Aaron K., and Andy G. attended. Aaron started playing a chord progression on
his guitar Am, C, G, D.
Dave
P. wanted Aaron to play it again. It was repetitive and there was no resolution
but Aaron, Andy and I played it for several minutes and then I suggested adding
a bridge, a chorus, or something to break it up and allow for a resolution of
the tension in the original chord progression. We played a variation of a chorus
for another few minutes, interspersed with the original progression.
The
first prophetic song of the night was about waiting for the Lord to speak.
Based
on the concept of nutrition labels I do not want any artificial ingredients,
artificial colors, dyes, additives, or flavors. We want to experience God pure and
simply as HE is.
David
P. burst into a time of praying in tongues and crying out to the Lord. He
kept saying; “Hit it!, Hit it!, Hit it!”
and making a motion with his arm like a machete chopping through the brush. I was
reminded of the man of G-d in the Old Testament who instructed one of the kings to
take the arrows and strike the ground with the arrows. The king only stuck the
ground three times, when the man of G-d said, you should have struck it 5 or 6
times and you would have totally annihilated the enemy. But now you will win only three battles and
then the enemy would return and win a victory over his sons. “as your faith is, so be it unto you”
I
heard a chord progression (of warfare) Am and G. As I played it through a
couple of times I heard a melody and then the lyrics came. I sang it myself through
for a couple of minutes. Meanwhile, others were declaring things out loud in
prayer, and when things quieted down a bit, I explained what the Lord had given
me and that I felt it would be more powerful if we declared the wakening blast
together. Terah! The awakening blast of
the trumpet!
So
we all sang it for a couple of minutes more. Calling the church, His called out
people, his body, his army of laborers to wake up and rise from the dead.
Am G
“Awake
O’ Sleeper! Rise from the dead! For the Lord will shine on you.”
Am G Am G Am
For
the Lord will shine on you, for the Lord will shine on you (repeat)
I am aware there is a song like that already
written….
The prophetic direction of the night
was cast.
Andy
G. had a vision of a man’s torso
rising up out of the sand and then the picture expanded to reveal a
skeleton of a man. The skeleton was draped in part with bits of muscle.
Eventually, it became a whole army rising up out of the sand.
Eventually, it became a whole army rising up out of the sand.
I
got a picture of the playing out of the covenant G-d made with Abraham. G-d
said that Abraham would have numerous children and be the father of nations.
That his children would be more numerous than the sands on the seashore. Jesus said, “if these children did not cry
out the rocks themselves would cry out” in another place Scripture says;
“I can raise up sons of Abraham out of these rocks.” Out of this sand…?
“I can raise up sons of Abraham out of these rocks.” Out of this sand…?
Later
in the meeting, Phil H. shared a simple phrase from the Scripture account of
Elijah and the 400 prophets of Baal.
“I hear the sound of the abundance of rain."
Which
prompted a spontaneous song which we sang for many minutes and had several verses. It was
more than singing a song, it was crying out for rain, calling for rain from heaven.
We were singing for our children, we were singing out of desperation, out of wounded hearts, out of a sense that G-d is on the move and He is the only thing that will satisfy.
Brad G. recorded both songs on his smartphone the quality is okay not quite like being
there but better than not having anything but a memory.
